HOW TO MAINTAIN & CARE FOR YOUR COATING?
1. PRO SPEC offers FREE ceramic maintenance plans to top up the initial coating every 6 months to increase the longevity of protection and prolong durability. Be advised that the coating may reduce its hydrophobic properties over time, but this does not mean your vehicle is not protected. We recommend topping up your coating for this reason.
2. We advise you to not wash your vehicle with chemicals 7 days after the coating has been applied. If necessary, you may rinse the car with water to remove loose dirt and debris.
3. To maximise the life and duration of the coating, we recommend washing your vehicle accordingly to prevent the build-up of contaminants that can affect the coating’s performance. This will vary depending on your environment and the nature of use of the vehicle.
4. Avoid using any harsh chemicals such as products that contain acidic elements or that are not p-H neutral.
5. Avoid using products that are not soft or microfibres such as sponges, chamois or rubber when dealing with the paint. These are harsh and may damage the coating as well as create swirls, marring or scratches.
6. Wash off bird droppings, tree sap and other contaminants immediately to avoid damage to the coating. Use the appropriate chemicals to do so and ensure to not vigorously scratch or scrub the panels.
7. Be sure to contact us if you need any further advice or questions.
USER-FRIENDLY GUIDE ON WASHING THE VEHICLE?
1. We recommend hand-washing your vehicle with pH-neutral shampoo and quality products whilst avoiding direct sunlight.
2. Pre-rinse your vehicle to remove loose debris and dirt.
3. Always ensure your wash mitt is free of debris and is rinsed with each load. We recommend using microfibre or wool wash mitts and at least 2 buckets, one for rinsing and one for shampoo.
1. Wash the car beginning from the top panels and working your way down. There is no need to apply extensive pressure when using wash mitts. We recommend letting the wash mitt do the work and working in straight lines. When all panels are washed, rinse the vehicle with water accordingly.
2. When drying the car, we recommend using contactless methods such as using a blower to blast water away working from top to bottom. Alternatively, you may use a specific micro-fibre drying towel to aid in drying and apply minimal pressure. Simply lay the drying towel on the wet panel and pull it towards you, sweeping off the water.
